    Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

    We can supply either:

    •  a "labour only" placing and finishing service
    •  a full contract service - from consultation, excavation, site prep, reinforcement, concrete placement and concrete cutting

We are a one-stop shop of all things concrete related. You say it, we lay it.

We hate to be "that guy" but because every job is different, it's best you get in touch with us to discuss your needs.

To allow the concrete ample time to strengthen and harden, we recommend keeping vehicles off new concrete for 7 days.

Cracking can happen. As concrete hardens, excess water evaporates  which causes the concrete to shrink, and this is what can cause  cracking. The proper use of Construction Cuts,  site preparation, and  good concrete placing will significantly reduce the risk of any  cracking. Even then, cracks can occur. It's our job to do everything we  can to reduce that risk.

Very occasionally irregular, dark blotching (or “Pinto”) may appear on the  surface of your concrete. This can happen regardless of concrete  company, location, season, cement, admixtures, aggregates, and in jobs  both with and without colouring. It’s not known exactly what causes this but due to the shape and appearance of the defects, it is widely concluded that Pinto could be caused by moisture movement within the  slab.

Ensuring consistency of placing and curing across the slab should help to prevent it.

If  this does occur, sanding the surface then applying a light acid wash  may reduce the effects or by applying a tinted sealer to cover up the  issue. For more information on pinto click here.
